Oh Honey Angelo Ferreri Glasgow Underground

Angelo Ferreri is a master of house music sampling. Since 2010, the Sicilian producer has been delighting DJs and entertaining countless crowds with clever cut-ups of soul, funk, and disco. If he had begun his journey in simpler times, his music would have exploded on vinyl, and his name would be as well-known as DJ Sneak or Armand Van Helden. However, in the 20’s world of audio-detection and exorbitant sample license fees, his is a dying art, relegated to labels whose releases don’t generally make enough noise to annoy the major-label business affairs team. To us, this is a massive shame. While we like recreating classic dance cuts, sometimes there is nothing like the original sample’s feel. Since Angelo sent us “Oh Honey”, we have been on a mission to clear it. Thankfully, an independent label owns the master (Delegation’s “Oh Honey”). They did, however, take a lot of convincing. Finally, nearly a year after he first sent it, we can share his version with you. “Oh Honey” is one of Angelo’s most sparkling rides through the 70s, filled with the gorgeous tones of the time and some added keys from the talented Moonrocket. We hope this joyous jam is the soundtrack to a glorious summer with all our friends.
