Tramplin Kim & Buran Nang

Dynamic St Petersburg producer Kim and Buran are slowly growing into electronic disco veterans, with this, their fourth long player since their debut ‘Flight B’ back in 2010.

Latest offering ‘Tramplin’ pays little heed to rigid four-four / dancefloor structures; the album works as a substantial, fifteen track work because of the variety of mood, tone and texture that runs throughout.

From the mid tempo, atmosphere-drenched cosmotica of opener ‘Walk on the Stratosphere’, and the drifting, Delia Derbyshire like synths strains and retro melancholica of Forbidden Planet, to the irresistible moog driven funk of Around Pauls, the tight Italo strut of Gala, the shimmering, exultant future disco of the likes of French Train, shifts gears and switches mood throughout. Set closer, the breezy musicality of ‘Your our Summer Dress’ ends the album with effortless panache.
