Originally released on the Jack Trax label in the UK, “House Train” became Steve Silk Hurley’s first release on his self-funded label, Silk Entertainment Records (SENT Records) in early 1988.
Produced, written, and mixed by Silk himself, and featuring the vocals of Risse (Charisse Cobb), “House Train” became a Chicago House Music classic almost instantly upon its’ release. Risse’s vocals are reminiscent of her influences, which include Randy Crawford and Aretha Franklin.
This package features Silk’s original version, and new remixes by Kenzo, along with the Rubb Sound System remix that has been getting spins for a few years now.
This is definitely a collectors’ item for House Music enthusiasts, whether you’re “old school” or “new school!”
