Mano Mano Remixes Thee Suka MoBlack Records

Last year, the talented South African duo, Thee Suka birthed a breathtaking melodic litany and instantly, ‘Mano Mano’ permeated soundwaves and enamored dancers worldwide. And it comes to no surprise that the 7:07 minute rhythmic psalm – solemn as it is connected, intimate and equally universal – has inspired a cadre of artists from all across the globe. The imprint of “Mano Mano” was astounding, prompting MoBlack Records to run its first “Remix Contest” – a genial competition that impelled aspiring remixers to unwind their imaginations and push the boundaries of sound. With over 100 entries, the selection process has not been easy – stretching longer and keeping the MoBlack team up longer than expected. But it is well worth the wait. Here, we have eight unique interpretations from various depths of electronic and house, connected by the vim, vigor and vision of the original. Delivered by Notre Dame, Drumetic Boyz, Timmy Regisford, sammi ferrer, Soldera, KingDonna, Copal and DanMat, all eight winning remixes capture the synergy between maker and (re)maker, perpetuating the evergreen harmonic alchemy of ‘Mano Mano.’
